As a person who has been in pain, I understand a client’s desire to be relieved of muscles that are needing healthy care and attention. I am a competitive sailor, mom and enjoy the art of building a strong and healthy body at any age.
I have always loved the study of muscles, how they move our bones and function in our daily lives. Muscles can be flexible and strong, or inflexible and cause us pain. I consider it a gift and an honor to ease tension and pain, and create a safe environment to improve the movement of the body. I have been trained in Swedish and Shiatsu massage. Shiatsu is a non-invasive Japanese form of massage therapy that helps reduce stress and muscle stiffness, stimulates the skin, aids in digestion, and influences the nervous system.
Getting a massage may seem like an extravagance, but it is truly just taking care of your body and keeping it in good working order. My goal is to have each client leave with a feeling of being refreshed, rejuvenated and relieved of any pain that is currently troubling them. If you enjoy a good foot, hand and head massage come get a shiatsu session with me. You deserve to feel “Marvelous and enjoy an active lifestyle.”

“My interest in massage and bodywork began shortly after my family was involved in a major car accident that rendered my father a quadriplegic, unable to walk and with only partial use of his arms. I witnessed the benefits he received from massage including reduced swelling in his feet and legs, decreased muscle spasms, and improved flexibility of his lower extremities by range of motion exercises. I later began seeking massage for myself and found it a wonderful relief!
Every time I have a new injury, I have mixed feelings: Pain and Excitement. I am active and with each new injury I am given an opportunity to learn about my body and how to help others. I have learned from my car accidents, my twisted ankles and knees, my 2 shoulder dislocations, my many falls, and my participation in several types of sports and physical labor. Sometimes rehab is hard, but it’s worth it!
I received my massage education in North Carolina at South Eastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy and Massage, and after moving to Oregon attained my Massage License in 2006. I have continued expanding my education and taken courses to be certified as a medical massage therapist. I extend my gratitude to all of you who by supporting Massage Marvels as a local business are also supporting my little family. Thank you!”

Massage was introduced into my life at a young age. My older sister
became a licensed massage therapist when I was 14 years old. I had the exceptional opportunity to have her practice her skills on me for many of my adolescent years, which I am so grateful for.
I was involved in a couple serious car accidents that left me in a lot of pain and feeling hopeless about how I could live a life with mobility and functional use of my body. Through years of manual massage I no longer fear immobility and increased pain as I age. These experiences have brought me to the world of massage to be able to give back to others what I have received. I have a dream of a pain-free world that I believe is achievable through massage therapy.
I graduated East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland, Oregon in 2016. I specialize in Neuromuscular Therapy, Structural Integration, MET Therapy and Deep Tissue. I use MET therapy to achieve postural alignment between muscles, ligaments, bones and joints. This type of treatment is also used for the treatment of pain and injuries. I have been educating myself with massage and how the body works for years before I became a licensed massage therapist, and have continued my education after graduation. I want to continue learning and growing in my profession for the rest of my life. Having the opportunity to be able to help others on their personal journey to health and recovery is a great honor.
I have 4 rescue dogs that have found their way into my life over the years. I practice massage on them daily and they all look forward to their individual turns. I also love the outdoors and take advantage of hiking in the beautiful Pacific North West that I live in.

I have been practicing Reiki with Massage Marvels since May 2017. I got attuned to be a Reiki Master in 2011 and have been practicing on family and friends since then. One of my dearest friends introduced me to Reiki and I saw the effects of Reiki first hand on my wife undergoing cancer treatment. I always had the desire to practice and heal others with it. Besides Reiki, I also enjoy music, dance and consider myself an art lover.
